Check Gentry Arrests With VINE

A VINE arrest check for Gentry County gives residents a quick way to learn who is in custody. It also lets them sign up for later changes. Missouri runs its alerts through MOVANS now. The regional jail still points visitors to V.I.N.E. A live result shows the facility and the custody event. Fresh Gentry County arrests may lag behind, though. Results can change, and some arrests never create an alert. Texts and emails are the notification channels today.

Registration needs some upkeep. An alert only reaches the address or number on file. If your email or phone changes, update the registration yourself. The service will not guess. Spam filters, a packed inbox, carrier blocks, or a typo can all stop delivery. Save the confirmation message. Never let one alert be your only source for a decision that cannot wait. When notice stays silent, check the live record and contact Missouri DPS through its MOVANS help channel. Several offices each hold a piece of the puzzle. DDCRJ answers for current facility custody. The sheriff routes Gentry arrest records, while the court holds the case history. DOC covers state custody and supervision. VINE and MOVANS tie these systems together for alerts, but no single merged history exists.

Check a Gentry Arrest on VINE

Search for one known person. VINE is not built for browsing names like a roster. Routes can shift, so start at the main VINELink address and pick Missouri, with the correct spelling and any accepted identifier ready.

  1. Open VINELink and choose Missouri.
  2. Enter the person's name or supported identifier. Try only genuine spelling variants when needed.
  3. Compare multiple matches by facility, identifier, and other displayed facts. Do not choose solely by name.
  4. Open the likely record and check the facility name, custody status, and last update.
  5. Confirm a DDCRJ or Gentry-related result against the jail or arresting agency before acting on it.

An empty result does not rule out an arrest. Transport and booking take time, and someone cited or released may not be in custody now. For a very recent event, the Arrested Today page explains the separate DDCRJ, MSHP, and sheriff checks. The VINELink search screen starts the live Missouri lookup.

The interface changes, so its current labels and route control over any older instructions.

What VINELink Shows After an Arrest

A live result can hold enough detail to separate two people with similar names and pin down the custody event. Screens vary, and no fixed field layout applies to every Gentry result. Trust only what the current record shows.

Result item How to use it
Name or identifier Distinguishes matches; verify spelling and identity.
Facility Confirms whether the record points to DDCRJ, Missouri DOC, or another custodian.
Custody status Shows the status reported to the service at its update time.
Update time Signals how current the reported status may be.
Notification option Allows registration when the live record supports it.

VINE status is not an arrest report or a court disposition. A release notice does not settle the charge. For filed charges, amendments, pleas, or judgments, search public Missouri court information later.

How to Register for Custody Alerts

Missouri now registers alerts by SMS or email only. Phone and VINELink-app notices ended May 5, an April 28, 2026 DPS announcement confirms. Older pages may still cite the app or the 866-5-MOVANS number, but the newer notice controls which channels work.

  1. Open the verified person's live record and select the available registration option.
  2. Choose SMS or email and enter private contact information only in the official form.
  3. Complete any confirmation or PIN step the current interface presents.
  4. Save the record identity and registration confirmation without posting private contact details.
  5. Update or repeat the registration if a transfer creates a new custodial record.

Local jail and court registration help runs through movans@dps.mo.gov and 573-526-1929. Help is available during weekday business hours. DOC custody uses victims@doc.mo.gov and 573-526-6516. The two routes stay separate because local detention and state corrections are different systems. The registration flow opens after you select a live record.

Gentry VINE Limits and Verification

VINE is a helpful signal, nothing more. It does not replace the regional roster, the arrest report, or the court file. It is not a federal Bureau of Prisons locator either. Nor can it prove every Gentry arrest creates a record or a notification. Lag hurts most right after arrest. Transport and intake are the slow windows. Verify regional custody with Daviess/DeKalb Regional Jail. Call 660-367-2200 or go to 102 North Meadows Lane, Pattonsburg, MO 64670. For the arresting agency and reports, call the Gentry County Sheriff's Office, Sheriff Nicholas J. Tompkins, 104 N Polk, PO Box 37, Albany, MO 64402, at 660-726-3721. Ask which custodian holds the exact record. Missouri DOC handles sentenced and supervised state offenders. It runs its own offender search and victim-services route. DOC is not the Gentry booking channel. A person can sit in local custody. They might walk free, serve probation or parole, transfer, or land in DOC later. Each status points to a different source. The current MOVANS transition notice documents the May 2026 shift. App and phone alerts give way to SMS and email under that change.

This official notice should be trusted over stale app listings or old third-party directions.

Verify alerts: a notification reflects data supplied to the service. Call the facility when safety or time makes current status critical.

Gentry Alert Follow-Up

Gentry County has no sheriff app to rely on. The Missouri DPS says MobilePatrol and Missouri Sheriff Connect have no tie to MOVANS. A social post can hint at an event. So can a commercial push alert. It cannot replace a live custody record from the government custodian. That office holds the actual arrest or booking report. When registration status is unclear, call DPS contacts first.

Treat every notification as a prompt to verify. A transfer alert may simply mean the first facility no longer controls the record. A release alert ends one reported custody stage. It ends neither the court case nor every agency file. Save the alert time. Then check the receiving facility or Case.net, whichever fits. If the name match seems shaky, wait to register. Do so until the identifier, facility, and event details all line up.

MOVANS also sends court-event notices, which differ from jail movement. A hearing notice does not mean a person is still detained. A custody change says nothing about what the court decided either. Log the alert type, source, and timestamp with the record. The Gentry Circuit Clerk routes questions on local court files. DDCRJ answers facility custody questions.

Missouri's older registration page still lists 866-5-MOVANS and some legacy language. The newer DPS announcement governs the end of phone and app notifications. Register by SMS or email today. Avoid unrelated apps, and never share private contact details outside the verified official registration flow.

Note: VINE and MOVANS track one custody or court record; they do not publish a full Gentry County arrest list.
